Through the pages, you can enter and take a journey through the history of this land.
The tour guide from the past is the Father of the Fatherland, William the Silent. As he had guided me through this land, I now guide you through the history of his land. I believe even from the past, historical figures teach and guide us the present into the future.
You the traveler taking a romantic tour through the canals of Amsterdam, learn how the Dutch have reclaimed their lands, and now are teaching this one world to unite and save our lands from the ravishing waters. Within this land, teachers are born as these teachers have walked through the obstacles and devastations of flooding. Now they have taken upon their shoulders the teaching guides for all of you to learn from.
Tourists you become, to have a meditative journey through peace and serenity.
Walk upon this land and feel safe and blessed as you become a part of this nation, through the twelve provinces of this land. Each province is filled with historical facts and numerous sightseeing attractions for you the tourists to visit. Walk into medieval castles, walk through UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the tulip fields, the canal tours, or see where the witches were weighed. Also find out about the amusement parks which even Walt Disney himself had visited.
This land of cheese must be visited as they still have places where you can walk back in time and see how the Dutch had made cheese in the past. To this day, they are the second largest exporters of cheese in the world. This land also is known to be one of the big giants who feed the world. As one of the food giants of this world, they can teach this world to be independent in food. Their land is smaller than my home state, Washington State.
Learn about the Dutch food, culture, people, and interesting facts as you also become a traveler with me and take a tour through this land through my pen and paper.
For the poetry lovers and for my Dutch friends, I have included ten poems written by me for this land, and have placed them throughout this book. These poems are my blessings for the land. I know all her citizens and tourists who land upon this land cherish her throughout time. These poems are my gifts for all the Dutch and the travelers journeying through this land I call, “The Netherlands: The Land Of My Dreams.
